In 2025, Sally, Darcy, and Sherry practiced a minimum of three strength training sessions each week. Lisa and Laurie created rock solid—and achievable—sleep routines. Denise started to journal and practice gratitude. Kathy did a handstand for the first time, and Karen did a handstand in front of her daughter’s class at school! Jill and Krystal significantly reduced their wine consumption.

And, every one of our members achieved their strength goals. Every single one. For some it was going from 10 to 30 perfect push ups, others going from one to four pull-ups. For some, it was holding perfect two-minute planks, and others, deadlifting 50-75% of their body weight.
How did these members do it? Read on to learn the top 3 reasons our community met their goals in 2025, and find how you, too, can get strong(her) in 2026.
#1: Our Welcoming Community
In our community, we create new habits that will lead to our shared, ultimate goal: feeling good in our bodies.
My own goal in 2025? I now consistently drink 60 ounces of water daily. This was based on a challenge from my daughter–yes, even I got caught up in the New Year, New Me, New Fresh Start that came around at this time last year. Having my daughter, Rachel, as my accountability partner helped a lot. She can be brutally honest and a tough judge!

After recognizing the value of the new calendar year as an opportunity to set new goals, I decided to create a robust program for the season called, “Annual Habits”.🤪 You may wonder why I created a program – including a detailed lesson plan – intended to help our community meet their goals, especially when I’ve consistently written that New Year’s Resolutions don’t work.
It’s because this program works unlike any wellness and fitness program out there. Meaning, no gimmicks, no extra charge. No unachievable goals.
The “magic” is in our community.

#2: Accountability
Our members partner with the same person all year and hold one another accountable. They share goals with their partner like it is their own, don’t allow each other to “go negative”, and celebrate successes with each other. The “magic” is the consistency between partners, who check in with each other on a weekly basis, even outside of our sessions.
And what if, after a month or two, someone discovers she’s chosen the wrong goal? Either it is unachievable or it is actually not as important to her as she thought? Then we set aside time each month to learn if the goal we set was really the right one, or whether it is a good time to shift goals.

For our strength goals, we practice them inside and outside of our weekly sessions. We post them on the wall. We write them in our journals. We know each other’s goals as well as we know our own.
Where do I come in as a coach, with these goals? I know each member has the ability to complete more than she believes in the gym. I’ve seen this for decades working in this industry. We are our worst limiting factor. Through a combination of compassion combined with tough love – and a deep knowledge of how bodies move – I am here the whole way, to help get the results.
For example, in the Spring, Karen came to me with the mindset that she couldn’t deadlift anywhere close to her bodyweight during her lifetime. As a strength coach, I knew we just needed to start small–“pattern” her movements to prevent injury. So we aimed to complete movements over and over, with lighter loads.
There comes a time when the patterning pays off. Around the three month mark, Karen began to ask me to counsel her deadlift during each strength session she attended. Over time, I gently, assuredly, shared she could lift the 30, the 35 and then the 50 pound bell.
One month ago, she deadlifted 62 pounds. BAM! In just under 6 months! Now, her goal is to continue to lift heavy, get strong(her) and finally get relief from back pain! BAM again!
#3: Building Tiny New Habits
What makes us different? What separates our community from others who want so badly to make change, find their wellness north or just feel better?

It is the science behind creating new habits and the intention for which women in our community set their goals. They set small, achievable, “stackable” goals that are literally impossible to fail, all while our members are fully dedicated to helping each other meet any goals that are set.
We dedicate the first session of each calendar month to facilitate intended new habits. We don’t just discuss, either. We have an iron clad program that helps each other find that space of change, those few small habits, that can snowball and lead to each person feeling their best.
Taking on too much is almost impossible for our overly active brains to achieve. So, even if you are still not tempted to join us, the key to making change is one word: small.
To summarize, here are the top 3 reasons our community met their goals in 2025:
- WE HAVE A WELCOMING COMMUNITY.
- WE HAVE PARTNERS WHO HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE ALL YEAR.
- AND, WE SET TINY NEW HABITS…NOT THE BIGGEST ONES.
With these, in 2025, every woman in our community exceeded her lifting goals. Either she achieved them well ahead of schedule, or she discovered a newfound strength and completed well over her goal.
